Home base
Aalesund, Norway
My family and I live in Aalesund. My work has also taken me to Oslo, Gothenburg, and Sofia over the years, which I find inspiring.
Curiosity travels well.
01
Where it started
A computer at seven. A lifelong curiosity.
My background is technical, and I have been into computers since I was seven, when my parents bought a Marathon 32K. That machine set me on the path to becoming a computer nerd for life.
After that, there was a Commodore 64 and a Tandon PAC. Those machines seem outdated now, but they were solid in their day. I started programming in BASIC, then Pascal, Delphi, PHP, and finally C#.
BASIC → Pascal → Delphi → PHP → C#

At work
From service engineering to the bigger picture.
After finishing compulsory military service, I started as a service engineer in 1997. For much of my career, I have worked with cash automation.
Along the way, I have been involved in product development, internal services, accounting, the Norwegian management team, external services, and sales. I enjoy working in environments with high pressure that allow me to put a variety of my skills into practice.

After hours
There is always something on the workbench.
My hobbies are closely related to my work, including electronics and software development. I have a small lab at home where I can develop everything from microcontroller-based robotics to mobile applications.
I also have several small Raspberry Pi projects in both Linux and Windows IoT 10.
